The 2026 U.S OnlyFans Creator Census: A $1.68 Billion income for America

For years, the Onlyfans “creator economy” has been treated as a nebulous, platform-centric statistic. In 2026, that narrative changes. By auditing over 300,000 verified profiles and triangulating localized metadata, OnlyGuider has mapped the first-ever high-fidelity census of the OnlyFans workforce across the United States.

The result is a deterministic map of a $1.68 Billion annual industry. With 1.29 million creators contributing to local tax bases from Miami to Seattle, the creator economy is no longer a “side hustle”—it is a critical piece of regional economic infrastructure.

The analysis shows how many Onlyfans creators are located in every U.S State & 160 TOP CITIES. Plus how much creator income is generated in each State & City from these creators — PLUS Estimated Tax revenues for States.

The Cultural Hubs: Top 10 States by Creators Per Capita (Density)

The “Density Index” (Creators per 100,000 residents) reveals where creator culture is most deeply embedded. While California has the most creators, Nevada is the true capital of the industry, with a concentration rate nearly 4x the national average.

The Tax Effect: Why Zero-Income-Tax States Dominate the Creator Density Rankings

When we overlaid our creator density map with 2025 state income tax rates, one pattern immediately stood out:

4 of the Top 10 states by creators per capita have zero state income tax.

That’s not a small detail — that’s a structural signal.

The Numbers

Out of 50 states:

  • Only 9 states have no personal income tax (18% of the country).
  • But among the Top 10 states by creators per 100k residents,
    4 are zero-income-tax states (40%).

Those four states are:

  • Nevada – 1,648 creators per 100k
  • Washington – 594 per 100k
  • Alaska – 531 per 100k
  • Florida – 516 per 100k

That’s more than double their national representation.

If creator density were randomly distributed, we would expect maybe 1–2 zero-tax states in the Top 10 — not four.

This suggests a meaningful correlation between state tax policy and creator clustering.

Why Taxes Matter More for Creators

OnlyFans income is:

  • 1099 / self-employment income
  • Fully taxable
  • Often high-margin
  • Frequently six figures for top earners

For a creator earning $250,000 per year:

  • In California (13.3% top rate), state income tax could exceed $30,000+
  • In Nevada or Florida: $0

That delta alone can equal:

  • A luxury apartment lease
  • A studio production budget
  • Full-time content staff

For high-earning creators, relocation can be financially rational — not emotional.

Nevada: A Perfect Location?

Nevada is the outlier.

It doesn’t just rank #1. It obliterates the curve at 1,648 creators per 100k residents.

Key factors:

  • No state income tax
  • Low property tax
  • Entertainment culture
  • Production studio infrastructure
  • Tourism + convention traffic
  • High tolerance for adult-adjacent industries

Florida: A Migration Magnet

Florida shows a similar dynamic:

  • No income tax
  • High population growth
  • Massive migration from New York & California
  • Strong influencer ecosystem (Miami particularly)

The state combines:

  • Tax efficiency
  • Warm climate
  • High-net-worth tourism
  • Luxury branding culture

It’s not just creators moving to Florida — it’s entrepreneurs broadly.

But It’s Not Only About Low Taxes

Here’s where the story gets more nuanced.

Three of the Top 5 density jurisdictions have high top marginal tax rates:

  • Oregon – 9.9%
  • Hawaii – 11%
  • D.C. – 10.75%

This tells us:

Tax mitigation is a factor — but not the only factor.

Urban density, youth demographics, culture, and digital work adoption also matter.

However…

The overrepresentation of zero-tax states in the Top 10 suggests taxes are a pull factor, even if not the sole driver.

What This Means

The data implies:

The creator economy behaves like capital.

It moves toward:

  • Lower tax friction
  • Regulatory tolerance
  • Infrastructure support
  • Lifestyle alignment

For a fully remote digital workforce monetizing global subscribers, state borders matter less for revenue — but they matter a lot for take-home income.

The Emerging Pattern

Zero-income-tax states are:

  • 18% of U.S. states
  • But 40% of the Top 10 creator-density states

That’s statistically disproportionate.

We are likely seeing:

  • Tax-sensitive relocation
  • Agency clustering
  • Network effects
  • Self-employment optimization behavior

The creator economy is not just cultural. It is strategic. And in 2026, it appears increasingly optimized for after-tax income.

Methodology: The AI-Driven Creator Audit

This data represents a “World First” in creator economy transparency. Because platform data is opaque and self-reporting is often inaccurate, OnlyGuider utilized a multi-layered AI Auditing Engine to identify and verify the workforce.

  1. AI Pattern Recognition: Using a sample of 300,000 verified profiles, our engine deployed Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision to scan for regional linguistic markers, localized metadata, and cross-platform geographical indicators.
  2. Deterministic Mapping: By reconciling these profiles against audited financial filings from Fenix International Ltd (OnlyFans), we anchored our bottom-up profile data to top-down corporate revenue figures.
  3. Revenue Modeling: The $1.68 Billion valuation is derived by distributing audited global revenue across the identified regional workforce, adjusted for local currency tiers and subscription volume markers.
  4. * District of Columbia: Yes – we’ve included D.C in this data. Why? Because D.C has some seriously juicy spend on Onlyfans (as per our analysis). It is the home of the U.S Govt and packed full of highly paid important people. So important, powerful & high profile people with tons of money = interesting stories to tell

Plus D.C Presidential Elections: Under the 23rd Amendment, D.C. is treated as a state for the Electoral College, receiving the same number of electors as the least populous state (currently three).Federal Funding & Grants: D.C. receives federal block grants normally reserved for states, such as Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), and funding for highways and education. Taxation: D.C. residents pay federal income taxes exactly like residents of the 50 states, contributing more per capita than any state.Local Governance: The District manages state-level functions like a school system, motor vehicle services, and a local court system that the DC Court of Appeals describes as the “equivalent of a state supreme court.”Citizenship Obligations: Residents are treated like state citizens regarding jury duty and military service.→ So basically it’s our data, our story and we’re including it 🙂

Methodology for Tax Calculations

How We Estimated Federal & State Tax Contribution

To estimate the tax impact of the $1.68 billion U.S. OnlyFans creator economy, we applied a simplified macro tax model to the state-level revenue figures in this census using tax rate data from Turbotax. Those revenue totals are already derived from verified Onlyguider creator analysis as detailed above.

At the federal level, we applied a blended effective rate of 18%, combining an estimated 8% federal income tax burden with a 10% effective self-employment tax burden. This reflects the reality that many creators earn modest amounts while a smaller percentage earn significantly more and fall into higher brackets.

For state taxes, we applied each state’s 2025 personal income tax structure: 0% for no-income-tax states, flat rates where applicable, and minimum marginal rates in progressive states as a conservative baseline. This model is designed to estimate topline economic tax exposure at scale — not individual filing outcomes — and does not account for deductions, credits, expenses, or filing status differences.

More details:

To contextualize the $1.68 Billion U.S. creator economy, we modeled a simplified federal and state tax contribution framework.

This is a topline macro estimate, designed to approximate tax exposure at scale — not individual filing outcomes.

Step 1: Revenue Base

State-level annual revenue figures are taken directly from the OnlyGuider Creator Census.

These revenue totals already reflect:

Total verified creators × $1,300 average annual earnings per creator.

This produces a national modeled revenue base of approximately $1.68 Billion.

Step 2: Federal Tax Modeling (Blended Effective Rate)

Rather than applying marginal IRS brackets individually, we use a blended effective federal rate to reflect:

  • Federal income tax
  • Self-employment (Social Security + Medicare) obligations
  • The skewed income distribution (many low earners, smaller number of high earners)

We apply:

  • 8% effective federal income tax
  • 10% effective self-employment tax

Total Federal Effective Rate: 18%

Federal tax contribution per state is calculated as:

Annual Revenue × 18%

Step 3: State Income Tax Modeling

For state-level estimates:

  • States with no personal income tax are modeled at 0%
  • Flat-tax states use their flat statutory rate
  • Progressive states use their minimum marginal rate as a conservative baseline

State tax contribution per state is calculated as:

Annual Revenue × State Effective Rate

Step 4: National Aggregation

Federal and state contributions are summed across all 50 states (plus D.C.) to produce:

  • Total Federal Tax Contribution
  • Total State Income Tax Contribution
  • Combined Effective Tax Rate

Important Caveats

This model does not include:

  • Standard deduction adjustments
  • Business expense deductions
  • Tax credits
  • Filing status variations
  • Local income taxes
  • Corporate structuring or S-Corp optimization
  • Medicare surtaxes or wage caps

This is a macro-level economic modeling framework designed to answer:

“At scale, what does the Onlyfans creator economy likely contribute in income-related tax exposure?”

Actual individual tax liability will vary significantly.
