Methodology
To determine where the almost $2.63 Billion OnlyFans economy actually lives in the U.S, we built a proprietary financial model that triangulates search intent, traffic quality, and audited revenue.
1. The Data Engine
We harvested over 2 years of monthly search volumes for “OnlyFans” across all 50 States (+ D.C)+ 167 top U.S cities using the Google Ads API, filtering for high-intent traffic.
2. The Financial Anchor
Search volume is just noise without revenue data. We anchored our model to the “Source of Truth”: Onlyfans (Fenix International Ltd’s) UK companies house filings: $6.6bn in 2024 and $7.2bn in 2025’s latest accounts.
3. Duplicating the Attribution Model
From our Onlyfans Wrapped 2025 report, we used weighted raw search volumes by “conversion quality” for each country. This allowed us to allocate the global $7.2bn revenue pot accurately across national borders and formed the basis for the U.S market figures..
4. The State & City Algorithm (RPS)
To model State and City-level spend, we calculated a unique Revenue Per Search (RPS) for every country (National Revenue / National Search Volume). We then applied this RPS to State and City-specific search volumes to generate granular urban revenue estimates.
5. The Standardization
To compare giants like California and New York City, we standardized all data to Spend Per 10k Population. This metric strips away population bias to reveal true market intensity.
6. * District of Columbia: Yes – we’ve included D.C as a State in this data. Why? Because D.C has some seriously juicy spend on Onlyfans (as per our analysis). It is the home of the U.S Govt and packed full of highly paid important people. So important, powerful & high profile people with tons of money = interesting stories to tell.
Plus D.C Presidential Elections: Under the 23rd Amendment, D.C. is treated as a state for the Electoral College, receiving the same number of electors as the least populous state (currently three).Federal Funding & Grants: D.C. receives federal block grants normally reserved for states, such as Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), and funding for highways and education. Taxation: D.C. residents pay federal income taxes exactly like residents of the 50 states, contributing more per capita than any state.Local Governance: The District manages state-level functions like a school system, motor vehicle services, and a local court system that the DC Court of Appeals describes as the “equivalent of a state supreme court.”Citizenship Obligations: Residents are treated like state citizens regarding jury duty and military service.
→ So basically it’s our data, our story and we’re including it 🙂
